Thank You

“He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than living man” (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)

No words could ever express our appreciation and gratitude for the prayer, love, care, and support everyone all over the world has shown after our dear Papa (Kuruvilla) entered the heavenly abode.  We are deeply grateful to every single one of you. The list of thanks starts from Kuwait. The American embassy officials, friends and family of Kuruvilla and Jolly in Kuwait, the Priests, managing committee, and parishners of St. Gregarious Indian Orthodox Church of Kuwait, and most of all, Babu Alex and Family.

Our home parish St. Thomas Orthodox Church Dover N.J, along with its esteemed Vicar Shibu Daniel, the managing committee, and all the parishioners deserves special recognition and appreciation. The whole church worked as a single body in praying, preparing, and arranging for the funeral and wake. This included even making a special door for the church to accommodate the Casket in record time. So that our Papa's wish to have the funeral service at the church that he loved so much, could be fulfilled.  Our dear church family, we are deeply indebted and touched by your generosity and selfless action. Many of you worked tirelessly to make flyers, pictures, song books, enlarge Kuruvilla’s picture, and provide updated information to all. More than anything else, you and other friends gathered at our home and prayed incessantly to give us strength and run everything smoothly. Those prayers were heard, miracles happened and angels were present whenever we needed them. The power of prayer was so evident in all the events after Kuruvilla's departure. Heartfelt thanks to all who gathered and prayed.

Everyone was genuinely touched and saddened by Kuruvilla’s tragic departure, and it showed in each action.

We thank the H.G. Eldo Mar Titus Metropolitan, the Priests and Deacons who conducted prayers and delivered comforting messages. Thanks to all other priests from other denominations who spoke kind words of comfort.

We thank the many Orthodox Priests and Deacons for their prayers, presence and support during wake and funeral.

We thank the young minds for making the slide show and website a reality.

We thank the Angel Melodies for providing the melodious songs which was greatly appreciated by everyone.

We thank Timeline photo and video for recording the whole experience.

We thank the several cultural organizations and Individuals who spoke kind words and sent flowers.

We thank the Staff and coworkers of St. Barnabas Medical Center, N.J Transit, and UBM tech.

We thank friends and family who came from far and near. We thank our wonderful neighbors; we thank Quinn-Hopping funeral home staff, Rest land Cemetery staff, and VFW Whippany.

Thank you everyone for the many expressions of kindness, support and love you have shown to us during this period of bereavement. It has been a comforting blessing to each of us.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers that we saw sitting there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all,
just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much for whatever part.
With the hearts that bear love to all of you great souls!

George, Matthew, and Jolly Kuruvilla.

Let us take this Opportunity to invite you to attend the 41st day memorial service For Kuruvilla, on March 28th Saturday 9 AM. St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Dover N.J.
