Korah P. Kuruvilla (Baby), 62, entered into the heavenly abode on February 15, 2015. Kuruvilla was born on June 11, 1952 to the late P.V. Korah and Aleykutty Korah, Vallikattu Poovathummootil House, Vakathanam, Kottayam.

After graduating from NSS College, Kuruvilla started his career in the Indian Military, later moving to Bahrain to work as a Maintenance Supervisor for a private company.  This was an eventful time for him:  he met his future wife, Jolly, married and had their first son, George.

Kuruvilla, Jolly & little George immigrated to New Jersey in 1989 where they became founding members of St. Thomas Orthodox Church and had their second son, Matthew. After a diverse career, he concluded as an NJ Transit Electrician, retiring in 2011.

He was an active member in the church community, working tirelessly as church Trustee, Secretary, Committee member, Diocesan Representative and any other role in which he could have been involved.  As an ardent believer in Orthodox faith, he endeavored to be an example of the values and traditions of the faith.  He was keen on passing his faith to the next generation, raising his two children with that same strength of belief.  He was in the frontline for the church in prayer meetings and fundraisers and could reliably be found addressing something new every Sunday.

Kuruvilla is survived by his wife, Jolly Kuruvilla, MSN, a Registered Nurse at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ, and his two sons George, an NJ Transit Signal Engineer, and Matthew, an Account Manager for UBM  Tech.

Kuruvilla is survived also by his mother Aleykutty Korah, as well as brothers P.K. George (P&T Retired Engineer, Ernakulam) and P.K. Joseph (Rubber Board Deputy Commissioner, Tripura).  He is predeceased by his sister Aleykutty Varkey (Meenadom) and brother P.K. Kuriakose (Dubai).
